How You Buy Determines How Much You Spend

We as consumers expect to have the corners cut, the experience less than stellar, the packaging and perhaps even the contents compromised when we shop for extreme bargains. When we prepare to pay a premium we expect the entire experience to support that decision from the greeting by the salesperson to the way the printed or emailed receipt looks. This holds true online as well. We were honored to recently have our work for Russell & Mackenna featured in a list of 35 Excellent Ecommerce User Interface Designs, amongst other high-end retailers. The perceived value in something is often derived as much from its presentation and marketing as it is from the actual value of the object being purchased. So if you want your customers to spend top dollar, don’t skimp on even ONE little thing, especially the buyer’s (or user’s) experience!
