About Tracey Halvorsen
- Tracey Halvorsen
Hello and thanks for stopping by my blog. I am the Principal and Creative Director at Fastspot, an interactive agency headquartered in Baltimore, MD serving up some of the nicest Websites and interactive applications to be found. I am also the Co-Principal of Door No. 2, an agency dedicated to providing new marketing solutions for colleges, universities and schools. My background is in fine art, I attended the Cleveland Institute of Art for my BFA and Maryland Institute College of Art for my MFA, and spent a few summers in Lacoste, France at the Lacoste School of Art.

Speaking Engagements
In addition to Fastspot’s day-to-day activities, I have recently begun to spend more time speaking. This is sometimes speaking to large groups, or sometimes working collaboratively with much smaller teams. I enjoy speaking (and hopefully teaching) about interactive marketing strategy, social media engagement, empowering teams to enhance brand strategy, and creative culture in the workplace. If you’d like to discuss having me speak at your next event or meet with an executive team, don’t hesitate to get in touch.
Writing Opportunities
If you can’t tell already, I love writing, especially about things I feel strongly about. If you are looking to get my opinions or thoughts on something in a written format for a publication, blog or (yes I’m insane) a book, let me know. I pride myself on metaphors that cut through complex ideas to paint a clear picture, and on being funny (at least that is what my mother tells me). You can reach me here.
You Want More?
When I’m not at work, I am painting in my studio, pretending to know how to play my guitar, or spending time with my favorite non-human companions, Rufus and Stella.

I was fortunate to fall in love with painting in high school, thanks to my amazing teacher, acclaimed artist Walter Bartman. I went on to study art, which has provide me with an invaluable education in creative thinking and problem solving, and most importantly, the ability to discuss complex and abstract ideas in words we can all understand.

Love the work Fastspot did on the Woodberry Kitchen site. Mesmerizing, really.
Tracy,
Thanks for the compliment on Woodberry’s site – we had a ton of fun creating that one, and I happen to be on the way there to eat dinner right now!
I would assume it’s rather easy for you to get a reservation there
Happy eating!
